Camp Director Scott Dellosso, Program Director Phill Buhse, and Assistant Camp Director Gabe Ryan are a dedicated, decorated, and experienced Key three! Together they bring years of Scouting, education, and summer camp knowledge to share with all campers, leaders, and staff this summer (read their bios below).

Scott Dellosso is returning in 2025 for his 9th summer as Camp Director of Keowa (and his 22nd summer working on camp staff). When asked about dedicating so much of his life to Ten Mile River, he says, “I know how much Scouting did for me, and how formative summer camp was in developing who I am. Being able to provide these life-changing and transformative experiences for young people is likely the greatest thing I will ever do. Oh – also I get to drive the motorboat”.
When Scott is not at Ten Mile River, he is living in Maryland and preparing for summer camp. In his “spare” time, he teaches high school English, Speech and Debate, and Media Productions. He enjoys spending time with his son, Scotty, and is very excited about the many new programs and staff coming to the shores of Crystal Lake in 2025.

Phill Buhse is returning to TMR in 2025 as the Camp Keowa Program Director. Phill has worked at Keowa since 2018, serving in a variety of roles including Ecology Director and Commissioner.
Outside of camp, Phill is actively involved in scouting in Theodore Roosevelt Council with his home unit and Order of the Arrow lodge. He graduated with his Bachelor’s in Accounting in December and is currently in the midst of studying to earn his CPA license. In his free time, he loves hiking and reading. Phill is a huge fan of the New York Mets, and spends a lot of his time during baseball season at Citi Field. He is really looking forward to a fantastic summer in 2025!
Gabe Ryan will be returning for his 6th consecutive summer at Camp Keowa as the Assistant Camp Director. Gabe has worked in a variety of leadership roles at camp and is ecstatic to return as the Assistant Camp Director for the second time. The passionate staff, enthusiastic scouts and gorgeous reservation are what keep him coming back every summer.
Besides working at camp, Gabe just finished his Master’s in Engineering Science from the University at Buffalo a year after completing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Geosciences. He is excited to start his career and continue to work to educate people and protect critical environmental systems. In his free time you can find him wandering the city with friends or dragging said friends on hikes.
