Specialty Camps:

Specialty Camps are interest-specific programs offered only during specific weeks of the summer.

Participants for Specialty Camps may stay with their troop or may come solo and stay with our – provisional troop – which includes staff Scoutmaster and leaders.

Registration for Specialty Camps:

Specialty Camp access is controlled by the Participant Type.

To register, look for these participant types during the weeks they are offered. (For example, the participant type Scuba Youth is only available Week 2.)

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do Scouts stay?

Scouts attending a Specialty Camp the same week their unit still stay with their unit.

Scouts who want to attend a specialty camp without their troop will stay with the Trailblazers, Keowa’s own troop for provisional scouts.

Does it take up the entire time?

Eagle Camp allows participants to choose from additional “unlocked” merit badges not available to traditional campers.
Scouts may choose some or all of the badges offered. They may also take traditional camp badges as well.

Scuba Camp is a full day program. This is the only program/badge they will take.

Aviation Camp and Engineering Camp are morning programs only. They participate in the specialty camp in the morning, and select up to 3 additional badges of their choice in the afternoon.
