Parent Portal Description
This would allow you to have parents:
-pay for the Scout and/or
-select the Scout’s merit badges.
You can set it to do just one of these or both. The parent portal is off by default.
When you turn on parent portal, you will generate a 247scouting login for each of your scouts. You will distribute these to your parents to give them access to their individual Scout’s registration page.
Turn on Parent Portal
To turn on Parent Portal, click the “Additional Actions” button:

Make sure to start by checking the box that says “Use Parent Portal”.
Distributing Parent Portal Logins
If you are a digital person, you might want to download the excel version of your participants logins and passwords, and distribute them through email for your troop.
Tech savvy or not, many parents appreciate the PDF “tickets” that are generated when through the main “Parent Portal Credentials” button. It gives them a link along with their unique login and password, as well as a QR code to scan and complete registration on their phone.
